Male Native Australian Pepper
$25.00
Male Native Australian Pepper in a 140 ml pot, grown mainly as a pollinator for nearby female plants.
Description
Native Australian Pepper (Tasmannia lanceolata) is a cool-climate shrub grown for its aromatic leaves and, on female plants, spicy berries used in bushfood-style cooking. The glossy, dark foliage and small cream flowers give ornamental appeal as well as culinary value when male and female plants are grown together for pollination.
Plant in a cool, moist, well-drained position with dappled shade or morning sun and protection from hot, drying winds. Regular watering, mulching, and occasional feeding with a gentle native fertiliser will support healthy growth and leaf production.
An excellent choice for bush tucker and herb gardens in suitable climates.
