Description
The Upright Trumpet Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia) is a dramatic carnivorous plant featuring tall, tubular pitchers that lure and capture insects. The sculptural pitchers often show beautiful veining and colour, making this plant as ornamental as it is intriguing.
Supplied in a 140 ml self-watering pot, this Sarracenia is convenient to grow on a bright windowsill, balcony, or outdoor table in a sunny, protected position. It prefers full sun to bright light and a consistently damp, low-mineral growing medium. Keep the reservoir topped up with rainwater or low-mineral water and avoid using standard fertilisers, as these plants take most of their nutrients from the insects they catch.
A fantastic choice for carnivorous plant enthusiasts and anyone wanting an eye-catching specimen with real personality.
