Kiwi Fruit Male Vine

This male Kiwi Fruit vine (Actinidia deliciosa) is grown primarily as a pollinator for female kiwi vines. While it does not produce the edible fruit itself, its flowers provide the pollen needed to ensure good cropping on nearby female plants.

Supplied in a 6L bag, this vine is a good size for planting out along a sturdy pergola, trellis, or wire support. Plant in a sunny to partly shaded position with well-drained soil, and ensure it is located within pollinating distance of your female kiwi vines. Regular watering, mulching, and feeding with a suitable fruiting plant fertiliser will help promote vigorous growth and plenty of flowers during spring.

An essential companion plant if you want reliable harvests from your female kiwi fruit vines.
