Grevillea juniper yellow
$110.00
A prickly, dense shrub featuring bright yellow-gold flowers.
Description
Grevillea juniperina (yellow) offers needle-like foliage that provides excellent protection for small nesting birds. Its bright yellow flowers provide a stunning contrast against the dark green leaves, and it is very drought-tolerant once established.
The yellow juniper grevillea forms a dense, rounded shrub, usually somewhere between one and one and a half metres high. Its stiff leaves are fine and needle-like, and the pale gold flowers are rich in nectar, which brings honeyeaters and other small birds to the garden.
Choose a sunny spot with free drainage. It copes with dry conditions and light frost once settled in, and it responds well to a light trim after the main flowering in late winter and spring. If you feed it, use a native plant fertiliser sparingly.
